Earlier the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, Lyudmyla Denisova, discussed the situation in Donbas, repression against the Crimean Tatars and the issue of the Kremlin political prisoners with the newly appointed Head of the UN Monitoring Mission on Human Rights in Ukraine Matilda Bogner. The ombudsman wrote about this on her Facebook page.

“I had the pleasure to get acquainted with the newly appointed head of the UN Monitoring Mission on Human Rights in Ukraine, Matilda Bogner. And we conducted the substantive discussion of the situation in the east of Ukraine and the violation of human rights related to the conflict - a complicated intersection of the demarcation line, difficulties with the implementation of social benefits and pensions,” Denisova noted.
