Ex-Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko expressed surprise over the criminal proceeding opened against him by the State Investigation Bureau (SIB) as he reported on Facebook.

“Person has to have a great imagination to accuse me of things said by Mr. Arakhamia. I did not finish courses in Truskavets. So, I will simply ask: How it is possible to be the shareholder of illegal casinos???”

Lutsenko also assured that he passed the full check of his declaration and his incomes and expenses during his service as the prosecutor general was confirmed.

Earlier the State Investigation Bureau opened the criminal proceeding against possible abuse of power by Lutsenko.

As we reported, Yuriy Lutsenko went to the UK for a training course in the English language.

According to the spokesperson, the ex-Prosecutor General’s departure has nothing to do with the scandal in the United States over the transcript of a conversation between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which mentions the investigation of the Burisma company and the son of former US Vice President Hunter Biden.

Lutsenko has stated his readiness to testify in the investigation into the impeachment of US President Donald Trump, which was initiated through a scandal involving a telephone conversation with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
