During the snap elections to the Verkhovna Rada, citizens of Ukraine voted for changes, reforms, for peace and for Ukraine as part of the EU, NATO and the West. This was stated by the U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker, Hromadske reports.

“These were free and fair elections, which truly reflect the will of the Ukrainian people ... This is how democracy should work. The United States fully supports Ukraine,” he stressed.

Volker also said that he had discussed judicial, land and electoral reforms with political parties that had entered  the new parliament.

The USA government are preparing for the meeting of Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky and President of the U.S. Donald Trump. This was reported by special representative of the U.S. State Department on Ukraine Kurt Volker during the briefing as RBK-Ukraine writes.

"We are working on the preparation to the visit of Ukraine's President Zelensky to the USA," he stated.

According to him, now the schedules of the Presidents are being agreed.

"Firstly, there are no conditions. President Trump confirmed Zelensky's invitation on this Thursday. Of course we want to make this session as useful as possible. Ambassador Taylor is keeping in close contact with the team of President Zelensky to develop such an agenda. We do not know what particular date can be suitable for both Presidents. But Ambassador Taylor is working on it. I guess we will soon find it out," he said.
