112 Ukraine TV Channel appeals National TV Council’s decision to deprive digital broadcasting license

The court is now considering whether to open the proceedings and whether there are legal grounds to secure the claim

112 Ukraine TV Channel appeals against the decision of the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council to deprive the TV channel of digital broadcasting licenses. A corresponding statement was released by the press service of Kyiv District Administrative Court.

An application was filed in the Kyiv District Administrative Court, in which the plaintiffs appeal the decision of the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council, according to which they were denied the extension of their digital broadcasting license.

The plaintiffs indicated 5 signal translators under the logo 112 Ukraine TV Channel.

Among the legal claims are the declaration of illegality and the cancellation of the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council's decision of September, 26 to refuse the extension of the digital broadcasting license.

The court is currently deciding whether to open proceedings and whether there are legal grounds for taking action to secure a claim.

As we reported earlier, on September 26 the National council on questions of television and radio broadcasting deprived TV channel "112 Ukraine" of digital licenses for broadcasting. The channel continues to broadcast and is available to its viewers on satellite, cable and the Internet.
