New Verkhovna Rada can change composition of Central Election Commission

The head of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Tatyana Slipachuk supposes that the new Verkhovna Rada can change the composition of CEC. Slipachuk said this in an interview with 5 TV Channel.

“Judging from the political processes in the country, I Portnov will not pretend that this does not concern the CEC. Therefore, if the change of the composition or full renewal of the commission comes to the level of political will, then such a decision will be made,” Slipachuk said.  

At the same time, head of the Central Election Commission called  on newly elected parliamentarians to consider first the professionalism of candidates when choosing the CEC  members..

As it was reported earlier, the current CEC composition was formed by the Parliament of 8th convocation in 2018
