The State Investigation Bureau confiscated copies of documents, which make the state secret, from the President’s Office. The documents concern the pass of Ukrainian vessels through Kerch Strait in 2018 as Ukrainian News reported citing SIB Head Roman Truba.
“We have already held the confiscations and now, the expert study takes place on the basis of these documents, which explores these documents, analyze them and will answer all questions,” Truba said.
According to the SIB Head, the investigators confiscate a lot of documents, which make the state treason and they are confiscated not only at one body.
Earlier Pechersk District Court of Kyiv provided permission to the State Investigation Bureau investigators to confiscate the classified documents from the Office of the President.
We recall, on November 25, 2018, Russian border guards seized the Ukrainian Yana Kapu raid tug and small armored artillery boats Berdyansk and Nikopol of the Naval Forces of Ukraine in the Kerch Strait area, using weapons.
As a result of the incident, 24 Ukrainian sailors were detained and arrested. They were transported from Crimea to the Moscow Lefortovo detention facility. In addition, three Ukrainian sailors wounded during the shelling by the Russians were transferred to the Prison Hospital.
All of the sailors were released on September 7, 2019, during the prisoner swap between Russia and Ukraine.
